Betal marks a significant milestone in Omani sports as the country’s first female basketball team. The brand reflects strength, unity, and ambition while remaining grounded in cultural authenticity. We were tasked with shaping a name and identity that could confidently represent this pioneering team and inspire a new generation of athletes.

The Challenge

To create a brand that would lead with purpose and pride. The objectives included developing a meaningful and memorable name, crafting a dynamic visual identity that reflects the spirit of the team, and building a consistent brand system that would function across uniforms, media, and digital platforms.

Our Approach

Brand Name Creation: We led a naming strategy that explored cultural depth and forward-thinking symbolism. The result was Betal, a name that carries strength, presence, and a sense of leadership. It represents progress for women’s sports in Oman and acts as a unifying identity both on and off the court.

Design Concept and Development: The brand concept was shaped around resilience, motion, and pride. We explored color palettes that resonate with energy and heritage, and developed a custom logo that embodies athleticism and unity. Every visual element was built to reflect power and possibility.

Brand Guidelines: To ensure a cohesive rollout, we developed a complete brand guideline system. It includes logo usage rules, typography standards, color palettes, and layout principles. These guidelines maintain visual consistency across all touchpoints, from jerseys and courtside signage to social media and merchandise.

Impact: Betal launched as a bold and empowering symbol of change. With a confident identity and a unified visual presence, the team now has the tools to build awareness, grow its fanbase, and lead a cultural shift in Omani sports. Betal is not just a name, it is a movement with purpose.
